Must be from Hemmings.
In the midst of all the Impalas, Fairlanes, and patina’d Chevy trucks, there’s something that stands out about the pricey European sports cars.

Honorable mention to the TdF Scaglietti and the 300SL.

I’m being a rebel and not using Hemmings here, but if I had to get one car from 1958 it would be a small Lancia sports car as well.
Specifically this. An Appia GTE Zagato.

I’m buying a year-old car leftover on the lot and going with a ‘57 Chevy and getting a discount over buying the ‘58.

If I would be slightly wealthy I would buy a Chrysler 300D Coupe with the (very unreliable) fuel injection option.
If I would be a really wealthy guy I would get a Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France with a Scaglietti body. But I would ask Scaglietti to use the earlier front end from the last year’s model as it looks better. I think that’s an allowed bonus for the customers of coachbuilders...

Hemmings sucks. Not ONE single 1958 Renault Frègate.
The only decent thing on there was a this Ferret tank. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/de…

Well done! I have felt bad about not posting lately I have been on vacation. And in 58 that Lancia would have stood out in an ironicly big way

I’m a sucker for a good body, so I’d go with this ‘58 Chrysler Saratoga. Could probably find a year-end left over in spring/summer of 1958 and do a deal.

3 cars I would buy in order:
1. Aston Martin DB4
2. TVR Grantura
3. Abarth 1000 GT Coupe
